Hoovers

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

I went hoover shopping the other day and there seem to be lots of choice out there and i did not have a clue which hoover to buy and the sales man was useless so i just stuck to my usual and bought a Dyson.

My cleaner at work swears but the Henry hoovers (the little ones with the faces and names on) but for a little flat like mine it it is no good as it has the long tube to the handle and i need an all in 1 hoover to maneuver easily.

a handy tip to stop your hoover smelling is to put some bicarbonate of soda in the bag of your hoover…

Top Ups

Have you ever found your shopping goes up a lot when you are topping up your cleaning product supply because i do… I now go online to Tesco.com and purcahse mine from there as they have lots of buy 1 get 1 free or half price offers so you end up saving a small fortune and you get some to keep in stock for when you run out.

Why do they have to make these items so expensive because when you buy the cheap stuff they just don’t work (eg washing up liquid & polish)…

I may seem to be tight with my money, i am not i just don’t like to be ripped off..

Why not just get a cleaner

Monday, April 12th, 2010

I am so lazy when it comes to keeping my home spick and span so i have bitten the bullet and employed a cleaner who comes in for 2 hours every 2 weeks and she is amazing.

I know a lot of people will think i am lazy but hey what do i care what they think.

Everyone presumes that a cleaner will cost a lot of money but there are some out there that charge very little and will do a deal if you do a set rota with them.

They do all the bits that you miss like the skirting boards, cupboard doors and shower screen so they dont just come in and do the basics.

How to Remove::

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

I have found some tips on how to remove spilled items, marks and other stains you may come accross.

How to remove nail varnish - clean the carpet with shampoo (this may not remove all the mark) dab the stain on clothes with nail varnish remover (this may may mark your clothes)

How to remove lipstick - scrape with a knife and rub with soap or washing up liquid

How to remove hair dye – wash clothes in a solution of washing soda and cold water than put through a normal wash

How to remove red wine - dab with white wine or pour over if it is a large area

I hope this helps and if you have any tips let me know.
